Overview
The Dubuque Bike Coop (often referred to as the Coop) was founded in 2012 by several biking and community advocates that saw a need for a bicycle cooperative in Dubuque to help people get on bikes. Our shop is located 2206 Central Ave in Dubuque.
We are a registered 501c3 operating as Dubuque Bikes, Inc. dba the Dubuque Bike Coop.
We operate under the guidance of a board of directors, which for the 2026-2027 fiscal year is as follows:

Mission
The Dubuque Bike Coop’s mission is to help build a community that promotes, uses and values bicycling as a viable and sustainable means of transportation, health and overall wellness.
We do this by:
Providing access to reliable, low-cost bicycles
Providing educational opportunities on bicycle maintenance and repair
Promoting a mutual respect between bicyclists, drivers and other pedestrians
Advocating for improved and/or new bicycling infrastructure
Practicing and encouraging environment sustainability
